Indeed, sleep in hospitals or nursing facilities can be affected by many things, from noise to care activities and even pain. Research shows that circadian rhythms are tied most intimately to light pollution, so we decided to start there.
How do the Circalights know that you're in the room?
Users will wear a small sensor with UWB technology that triggers the light when they enter a room. The light adjusts its intensity based on how close you are to it.

Good question! We have built contacts in product design/development and made connections in healthcare up and down the East Coast. We have worked together to make progress in the past 1.5 years and are eager to continue.

In time, both! We envision two sales avenues for Circalights including direct-to-consumer sales and direct-to-hospital sales via institutional partnerships. Eventually, we will seek third party distribution via Amazon or medical device groups like MedLine.
